As a long-time resident of the Capital Region, Leah Slocum has developed extensive knowledge, compassion and love for the area and all that is has to offer. She has actively sold in the market for close to 10 years, covering Saratoga, Albany, Rensselaer counties and beyond. Representing both buyers and sellers has given Leah the challenge of meeting a client’s requirements in an effective and productive manner. She prides herself on achieving that in every successful transaction.
As high producing agent in her office, Leah has a consistent record of high-end sales drawn largely from client based referral network developed in the corporate, business, technology and executive fields. Leah has built her business on the philosophy of developing “full service” client relationships beyond those of a traditional Real Estate Broker.
Prior to joining Realty USA, Leah was a successful executive recruiter with a Capstone Inc., a retained boutique Search Firm dedicated to recruiting accomplished executives and senior technologists for high growth, technology driven companies in the Capital Region. She specialized in executive level candidate relocation throughout the United States.
Before that, Leah was involved with the inception and growth of one of the most successful start-up companies in the Capital District, CommerceHub. As the third employee hired, Leah was responsible for several start-up aspects of the organization, including Sales, Marketing, and Finance. Working directly for the CEO, Leah interfaced with a number of high-level executives from Fortune 1000 companies including QVC, Target, & Amazon.com. She developed many of the company’s core partnerships through initial sales contact, advanced marketing & direct mail campaigns.
Leah has coupled her experience in technology start up and executive relocation with her Real Estate Career. She has built partnerships with several Capital Region companies and developed customized relocation plans to assist them with their hiring and relocation processes.
She continues to excel and offers unique business leadership and experience that many in her industry do not possess.

Active in the community, Leah keeps herself very involved with a number of area charities and professional organizations in the Capital Region, including The Albany, Colonie & Bethlehem Chambers of Commerce, the Center for Economic Growth, and Capital Area Young Professionals. She also currently sits on the Board of Trustees for the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. In 2014, Leah was nominated as the Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Woman of the Year after personally raising just under $100,000 in 10 weeks toward Pediatric Cancer Research. She serves on the planning committees for The Leukemia Lymphoma Society’s Taste of Compassion event, Seton Health/St. Peters Foundation’s Hop Scotch and Slide Event & Saratoga Center for the Families Corks, Forks and Brews event. Leah’s charitable involvement also reaches a span of other organizations such as The Whitney Young Foundation, Capital Region AIDS Council, Albany Damien Center, Liza’s Legacy Foundation, and the Ronald McDonald House, just to name a few.
